A reader from Atlanta writes: "I'd like to nominate Pet Care Consultant for Bulls**t Job of the Day. Basically, you walk dogs all day. Starting pay is $8 and can go up to $10, plus holiday bonuses. The downside is you have to deal with a lot of literal s**t and deal with managers who think that their job makes them a god. However, you learn a lot about breeds (maybe that'll help someday) and dog walking attracts some really interesting people. Your coworkers will either be your best friends or your worst enemies; either way, it's a colorful work environment."
Stanley Bing replies: Personally, I think this qualifies as a bullshit job of the highest order, almost definitional in its way. It's fun. It pays pretty good money. And you don't take your work home from the office, because there is no office. The only downside is that it's hard to think of a pathway to promotion, unless you see the possibility of opening your own business, hiring others and having them pick up the "literal s**t" for you. Then you have to worry about overhead, which immediately degrades the B.S. potential of the job.
